Éowyn Ahlstrom, M.Ed., LMT, RYT, CMT is a teacher, writer and bodyworker offering traditional and innovative programs in mindfulness, compassion, Buddhist meditation, and yoga. She is the author of Mindscapes: Practice Poems as well as a forthcoming volume on mindful movement practice.
In addition to her Master's degree in Health & Wellness Education, Éowyn has qualifications as a registered yoga teacher, a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) teacher, and is licensed as a massage therapist in Massachusetts. Éowyn leads MBSR teacher training courses at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, where she also co-developed a program called MBSR2, An Ecology of Mind-Body Health. She teaches mindful yoga and meditation for retreats at the Insight Meditation Society and the Cambridge Insight Meditation Community.
At the Center for Mindfulness & Compassion, she co-developed and is currently part of a team seeking grant funding to study an 8-week course titled In this Body: An Embodied Approach to Awareness Practices, and consults and teaches for other research projects as well. Éowyn is also the developer of the Middle Path Healing Arts approach, a unique, integrated method for establishing and growing a contemplative lifestyle that supports both well-being and spiritual freedom.
